If you wanna take a tourist to a spot where you're guaranteed to see an alligator, go to Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands in Boynton Beach (on Hagen Ranch Road between Atlantic Ave and Boynton Beach Blvd).I forgot the name but one up north has waterskiing and a bike path. Really nice park.
I have some nerdy family coming down who might like that thanks. The park I was talking about is Okeeheelee. Not so much nature but they have a lot of physical stuff and you can rent peddle boats and kayaks. Down the road is a singletrack in the woods. I went there with a chick and it was pretty rough. Fun but doubt I would do it again. Okeeheelee is great for a bike ride on a path. I tow the bikes up there for that. They also have disc golf if you’re into that.If you wanna take a tourist to a spot where you're guaranteed to see an alligator, go to Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands in Boynton Beach (on Hagen Ranch Road between Atlantic Ave and Boynton Beach Blvd).
There's a female gator there that has a nest. She's in the same spot every day. Ask one of the park employees when you get there and they'll tell you where to look
Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Martin County (just barely north of WPB, about an hour drive for us) is also great for kayaking.I have some nerdy family coming down who might like that thanks. I didn't see any gators when I went but the dockhand said they're usually everywhere there on the Loxahatchee River
