Nate Diaz shocked the world at UFC 196 when he submitted Conor McGregor in the second round. After nearly three years away from the Octagon, Diaz returns to faces former champion Anthony Pettis in the co-main event of UFC 241 in Anaheim on August 17.
I often see people describe this fight as if it were Carwin-Lesnar - one guy absolutely bludgeoning the other mercilessly until he gassed chasing the finish. Sure, round one was a 10-9 for McGregor, but it wasn't some kind of massacre. Nate got in a few nice shots, got the takedown late, got swept, but was starting to work his bottom game as the bell rang.
Only time I've rooted against Conor other than when he fought Aldo. If they fight again to complete the trilogy all I can do is hope for another great fight...
