Have a few Filipino colleagues and it just struck me that Tagalog is a terrible sounding language. Finnish and Arabic are also up there.

Thai-African is up there along with all the others listed. Add Arabic and Farsi to the list...

I find Scottish and Irish so extremely cringey... uff, I just made the mistake to imagine how they would pronounce 'cringey' and almost threw up :D

nice people, but to my ears they make noises when they speak english that make my stomach revolve ...

but I can research it ;)

Well, every language has sounds and vowel combinations that you would never make or an unfamiliar change in pitch mid-word ... and then for some other language those would be its bread and butter sounds :D

actually though, haha, dialects are one thing, also specific words from languages are another thing.

words like 'kerfuffle', kudos, or the french expressions peu a peu, au chantè or contenance sound sooooo wrong to my German ears :D
