Never heard this before. I like that.
Big Star was the great Alex Chilton's early 70s pop rock group that he formed after disbanding his great sixties group The Box Tops. He's one of those rock legends that didn't sell a lot of records but proved hugely influential. Some other members of Big Star formed new wave bands like the dBs.Never heard this before. I like that.
I just figured out the intro guitar. Kind of a G to C thingy. Not exact but close enough for me.
I dig it bro.
I'll need to give the whole album a listen before I can really judge. This song is fine. Not one of the songs that I see myself getting hooked on like Third Eye, 10,000 Days (part 2), Lateralus, Jimmy, Right In Two, The Patient, H., Etc...Came to post this.
Thoughts @Willthiswork ?
It isn't groundbreaking by any stretch. I feel a bit let down considering how long we've been waiting, I'm holding out hope for the album in its entirety rather than just one track. Maynard's such a prick, he might have released something he didn't feel was up to par just to fuck with us before dropping the best Tool album of all time in our laps.I'll need to give the whole album a listen before I can really judge.
