I admit, Conor is my favorite fighter. I loved his confidence and ability to back it up during his incredible rise. Still, even as a super fan, I can’t give him a pass on this one.
I still truly believe he is a good person at his core. When you see the videos of him when he was younger, or speak humbly after fights (win or lose), or see him with his family, he seems like a sincere individual with a big heart. Unfortunately, the fame/money had lead to him buying into the idea that he is some sort of Irish gangster.
I just wonder how he will feel when his son Jack is old enough to see that video and question why his dad punched an elderly man. His reaction will be the true test of what type of person he really is.
