Nate Diaz put on an impressive performance on Saturday against Anthony Pettis. What made it more notable for some was that it was Diaz’s first fight after three years in the sidelines.

Rival Conor McGregor apparently saw the fight unfold, and had nothing but congratulatory words. According to Conor, Diaz’s performance and victory motivates him for his own Octagon return, whenever that may be.

McGregor laid out his message in a recent Facebook post.

Funny to see Conor chasing the money fights. The court costs and fines must be adding up faster than expected.

I don’t hear anybody trying to chase him like they all did......well, at least those that wanted a red panty night

Bullshit. I dont believe this for a second. Staying relevant is his current best skill. He is pretty good at it somehow

It'd be cool to see him take some warm up fights and grind out a year or two, actually fighting to his fullest potential AND improving. Nate is a warm up fight for very few people. Does anyone else prefer that or do most people just want to see big names fight regardless?

Agree 100% with this. Conor doesn't deserve Nate IMO. Let's see him prove where he actually belongs in the rankings...

Conor isn't going to fight at 170, and Nate isn't going back to 155 or doing a catchweight.... So what's the point of this talk?

Putting aside all the Conor hate on here, does anyone actually believe he wouldn't call the shots if he came back? I doubt any fighter has his pull...

probably lost some local fans and female fans after the sexual assault allegations also
Much more of a heel now with less true supportive fans I would think

I heard a guy say he gave Conor a pass on that because in Ireland, denying a drink from someone means go time lol
i heard a lots of people in Ireland don't want to associate with Conor or doesn't want Conor to represents the Irish people, because they're better than how Conor conducts himself. Only thing the Irish respect about him is actually his accomplishments in MMA which that ship is sinking very fast and faster as more time passes without Conor fighting
