Former UFC champion B.J. Penn was once again involved in a street altercation in Hawaii. On Wednesday, a pair of videos caught by TMZ had surfaced, showing “The Prodigy” in two separate street fights in one night against the same individual.

The first clip showed Penn raining down punches on a shirtless man, who laid face down on the pavement almost defenseless. The second clip was the exact opposite, as it showed Penn being knocked down to the pavement with a flush left hook.

A representative and long-time friend of the Penn family reached out to MMA Junkie hours later to clarify their side of…

I guess that video of Penn punching him on the ground was made by the same people that filmed the moon landing

lol he is a friend of the family and knows BJ better than anyone. I think we should accept his word at face value and draw a line under this fake news drama

Dana White talks to him a few times a month and he said "it's not him."

when I saw the second video (street boxing) I could've sworen BJ didn't want anything to do with the fight just as he got knocked out.
I was wondering if it was the same guy he fought outside the strip club tho

No this was a friend of his. And I think he didn’t want to fight at first either, and then the dude landed that shot and it hurt his ego, so he had to lay it on him.

yeah not much else you could do at that point except get your own back.
BJ needs to take a break from everything by the looks of things

retired mma fighters are always getting involved in all sorts of illegal shennanigans. I predict leonard garcia will be arrest for being involved with coke again.

I can confirm that a source familiar with someone with knowledge of the incident felt that nothing all that bad likely really happened, probably

My first impression was that it looked like BJ basically let the guy hit him, invited him to hit him again and then got dropped. I guess it's understandable that one's ego would want to get that one back. Sitting here all cozy and such, it's easy to say how blah blah blah that was but I think a lot of us wouldn't even take kindly to someone purposely bumping into us with a shopping cart (trolley for you wankers).

It would be easy, if they are buddies, make a short video together and release that saying it's all good. which it hopefully is.

BJ is a turd like his friend Matt Hughes.
I got into MMA after watching BJ destroy Matt Hughes and BJ's always been my hero but you're probably right. He comes off as an spoiled asshole, there aren't that many people close to him say good things about him.

plus he adores assholes like Hughes
