That's actually why Dom Cruz constantly calling it "wrestling" is a tad irritating.
It's more than just "wrestling". It's Sambo - aka intense blend of - wrestling, judo and submissions.

I think Poirier's choice to keep trying for the guillotine was a mistake which allowed for the finishing sequence to occur. He gassed out his arms and left himself in disadvantageous position on the ground against a master of ground smashing and grinding.
