I know that a lot of people want the Khabib/Tony fight, but here's the thing, I am not really feeling that fight. I know Tony has the tools to win (if all goes right for him), but I still think he get's mauled by Khabib quite easily. Tony's a good striker, but Khabib will close that gap and get in on him still (especially when Tony throws his kicks), Tony's wrestling isn't that great (especially against a wrestler the caliber of Khabib). Tony's BJJ is slick, however he likes to play Rubber Guard, and against a guy with a crushing and dominant top game like Khabib, that is HIGHLY unadvisable. Tony has enough elements in his game to make people think it'll be a closer match (just like they said with Poirier), however, I think that fight will go exactly the same way.

This x 1 million

Tony doesn't even try to defend TDs and as we've seen in his past fights, a good wrestler can control him on his back.

I don't like Khabib but he's the best wrestler in the sport right now. He will absolutely maul T-Ferg

For Khabib, and Tony, it's a war of the minds, the wrestlefuck is already there.
Tony knows all this and already has the win in his mind.
The fight needs to happen, nothing else comes remotely close.
Tony's likely sliced Khabib to shreds and choked him unconscious 10,000 times in mind & training.
Khabib the same.
Not making the fight, despite its history, would be a travesty to mma & history.

he should fight a returning Sean Sherk next, then move up for a catchweight bout with a resurgent Phil Baroni
