I know that a lot of people want the Khabib/Tony fight, but here's the thing, I am not really feeling that fight. I know Tony has the tools to win (if all goes right for him), but I still think he get's mauled by Khabib quite easily. Tony's a good striker, but Khabib will close that gap and get in on him still (especially when Tony throws his kicks), Tony's wrestling isn't that great (especially against a wrestler the caliber of Khabib). Tony's BJJ is slick, however he likes to play Rubber Guard, and against a guy with a crushing and dominant top game like Khabib, that is HIGHLY unadvisable. Tony has enough elements in his game to make people think it'll be a closer match (just like they said with Poirier), however, I think that fight will go exactly the same way.
so what? no one deserves the title shot more than Tony, he's actually the real lw champ for over 3 years now, imo.

So the UFC belt situation is an absolute shit show right now, I mean (complete side bar) the BMF belt may be the best idea they've had in a while (realistically, a belt that can be fought for over two, possibly 3 weight classes, by basically the fights fans want to see).... I bring that up to say this.... The fights that seriously would make for the most compelling title matchups....

Max Holloway vs Tony for the LW Title

Khabib vs Woodley/Usman/Colby for the WW Title

Alex Volkanivski vs Brian Ortega for the FW Title

Obviously the hard part is moving current title holders around, but those would be the best matches IMO.

Regardless of how it would go, no-one is more deserving of that fight than Tony weirdo Ferguson.

LMAO @ Conor. Khabib could literally hold him down with one hand and tea-bag him.

most deserving and most prepared also. I think Tony had to prep for Khabib twice already

nate already dropped khabib in the hotel lobby.. why not in the octagon? doesn't even have to be for the 155 belt.. just the BMF belt
he won't gas unlike dustin who's used to beating up on little guys from the 145 division

I think Max needs some time to bulk up to 155. I know he cuts a lot and making 155 would be easier than 145 for him but was outgunned by a long shot against Dustin. Love the match up for sure, I’d just like Max to prepare for 155 rather than take it with his 145 frame.

Conor is desperate for the Khabib/Diaz rematch because they are the only fights he can lose without falling any further down the ladder. He won’t fight Gaethje because he knows that if he loses, he is done as a headliner.

Honestly just forgot about him.

No one wants to see that fight anyway
Real fans want to see Tony fight Khabib. Tony brings a kind of pressure that Khabib hasn't faced. Tony stays just outside striking range threatening to strike and wears you down with that pressure. I would love to see him and Khabib go at it. Tony has earned it more than any other LW.

This is the fight to make (after Tony). Fuck Conor cuz he already had his chance. Khabib’s dad already said something about punishing Diaz and that he’ll ask Dana for that fight.

If Khabib beats Tony, and after Nate / Masvidal, all it takes is small little shit-talk and will fire up both of them with a quickness.

Everyone’s thinking Khabib will run through Diaz (everyone’s thinking about Rda or Rory fight)but I don’t think so, for one Nate was injured in rda fight and rory fight was looooong time ago. IDK why people thinks Nate fights the same way when he constantly shows that he evolves all the time.

Besides, Nate is the only one that can match Khabib’s pressure in (besides Ferguson) and outside the cage. Khabib rolls deep with his Dagestanis but so does 209.

This x 1 million

Tony doesn't even try to defend TDs and as we've seen in his past fights, a good wrestler can control him on his back.

I don't like Khabib but he's the best wrestler in the sport right now. He will absolutely maul T-Ferg
I would sat Tony gets taken down on purpose, to roll with the takedown. Haven’t really seen him get controlled even after a takedown, he’s actually always on attack mode from his back.

Tony also can set up a darce from all angles
