Was just talking to my students about it, quite a few have never heard about it. Whereas my colleagues remember what they were doing when they heard.

Lot of innocent people died on 9/11 ...very sad day that continues to effect everyone in the World to this day in one way or another.

Rest In Peace all those we lost..

It’s strange a tragic event like that is burned into our brains - it seems like it just happened.

Hard to believe that kids born on that day are now turning 18.

Feels like it just happened.

I remember I was deep into wanting to join the military when it happened. One of the football coaches was a huge military history buff and pulled me out of class and we watched it unfold in the library. Then, the same for Shock-and-Awe, only this time I felt confusion as to why we were bombing Baghdad. Fast forward 18 years later and I’m a combat veteran that still has no clue what the fuck we were in Iraq for... and how a passport survived the destruction in NYC that day

it's footprint is all over the world we live in today, you can't escape it.

2019: 9/11 families are still fighting for truth, first responders still fighting for help, politicians still threatening it when passing new laws/programs, DOD still using it as a blank check to authorize new military force, presidential candidates still using it as campaign device, new docs being made, books being written, TV series, the "28 pages", JASTA, AUMF, VCF, Freedom Act, etc, etc.

Rumsfeld, Cheney & various think tanks (PNAC & NEPDG) had their eyes on Iraq long before Sept. 11th.

"weapons grade" anthrax BS sealed the deal. IIRC.

Soon people who weren't even born on September 11 will be dying in Afghanistan for unclear reasons.
