Your answer is in your post. As abrasive as Conor was/is I chalked most of it up as promotional shenanigans. I put zero value into anything like this rape accusation until there's any shred of proof and I don't really care if he has a side piece or drug habit, none of my business. He's provided me with all kinds of entertainment and tbh MMA needs guys like him. Without the bad guys like Conor, Chael, Koscheck and many others we wouldn't see the good guys like GSP and JDS shine. Once people saw video of Conor smacking an old guy at a bar things changed. It's not hearsay or rumour. It isn't to generate buzz for a fight. It's him being a complete asshole on his own time and that's tough to rationalize. We both know full well that if Conor's next fight is against a top five guy it'll sell good and all his fans and haters will tune in for better or for worse. People like to point and laugh at Khabib beating him down but that's happened to 27 other tough dudes as well. Difference is Conor actually won a round against him where everyone else just drowns under the pressure. I'm very aware why he's been singled out but like he was saying to Khabib "it's just business".
