Or he's a tactician businessman as he has been since transforming NY & his entire life.
Time will tell, But how anyone can argue with a guy who's got so much done in his life is beyond me, Like him or not.
Lmao at transforming New York. What precisely do you believe he transformed?

Personally, I'm tired of keeping up on every group on earth and their history of wars and uprisings.
It's my opinion as of now, Trump is making moves/counter moves; trying to get countries to jump off sides.
It makes sense since China and Russia's significant rise in power over the 10+ years.
Turks are imbalanced nuts and looking to powerplay the region while the superpowers volley over which club they should join.
That said, and with the weariness over picking sides over 100 countries and determine justice globally, I'm content to mind our own gawtdamn business as we should have decades ago.
If the globalists truly want to impose their version of morality over the planet in the name of social utopia, let the virtue-signaling eurotrash take their resolution to the UN and we'll see who jumps on board.
As it stands, we can't protect our own fucking borders, and we've got a media-induced information war dividing our own country to deal with.

The same way the Turks invaded Anatolia?
Indeed. In fact it was the Ottomans who backed their first foray into Iraq, offering to settle them in the Christian lands of the north in return for their service as mercenaries vs the Safavids in 1514. In this way, as henchmen for the great powers they have expanded their land base from their original mountain homeland. into the ever shrinking lands of their Christian neighbors and victims. The great bonanza in this regard was the 1915 Armenian, Greek and Assyrian Christian genocide in which they were enthusiastic participants and the chief beneficiaries.

You could say, historically, that Christian genocide has been their main industry and primary claim to fame.

focus back on everything America.

financial cost of Iraq War was about some trillion dollars not to mention the cost of paying and caring for the injured Vets for rest of their life. All the ones that were KIA, their next of Kin gets 250k (could be more now) and I haven't even gone into the cost of the Afghanistan War, during and after. and do you know the purpose behind those wars? cuz IDK even though I participated in them.

At least mitigates the financial burden of the country. Think about how we can domestically spend those trillions in the US.

You go back to WW1, Japan was our ally, WW2, enemies. WW2 Soviets (somewhat Allies) after WW2, our enemy.

Afghanistan, Mujahadeen was our allies during the 80s, now some of those became Taliban and today, that's who we fight in Afghanistan

Iraq were our allies when they were fighting the Iran, we even gave them weapons and ANTHRAX. Persian Gulf 1, Iraq, our enemies. OIF, Iraq, our enemies. ISIS Boom, Iraq our Allies again.

Trump is our very own 'lets take a break from war mongering' sleepy time president.

And that's why we love him ;)

Well that makes perfect sense then.

Of course you forgot to mention the rest of our enemies, which include the UK, France, Canada, and Australia.

An immeasurable lack of understanding of how foreign policy works
yea that maybe true but I'm not the one who decides which country we help out and we should abandon.
Frankly speaking after being used as a pawn for George W, I'm oppose to all wars other than super necessary, like if we get invaded or deliberately attacked by a country or an organization. What I've experienced was horseshit. I've been there during the one of the worst times of Iraq in 2004. I have friends who lost limbs, who was shot in the stomach that has to shit through a tube for rest of his life, who lost their reproductive organs, ones who missed their first child being born and got killed so that his family has to live without husband and father, changed My life forever, long story short, when I was deployed, I didn't know the reason behind risking my life for... it was over some foreign policy? which now I look back is just a horseshit.

All of you can spill out your opinions on the matter but honestly, unless you have served and been used as some disposable footsoldier, nobody really has any room to talk about sending US troops wherever. It doesn't matter 10,000 or even just 1, because all of them were someone's son or daughter, someone's husband or wife, someone's father or mother, some dog's owner, someone with a great promise, someone who's a total loser, but all a life.

so fuck foreign policy and bring our troops home.

I guess what I'm getting at is that you can link several of these cases to US foreign policy decisions that turn allies into enemies. The mujihadeen was supplied with weapons and support while the Soviets were there and then as the war wound down, promised monies to rebuild were cut off, leaving the country to devolve back into warlordism and chaos. Afghanistan used to be one of the most cosmopolitan places in the world, but the US had no interest in finishing the redevelopment project, just sticking it to the Russians. Similar story in Iraq, which was all about neocon regime change fever dreams, lies to go to war, lies after the war, poorly executed strategy and no real political plan past the war. The US has destroyed people's lives around the as much as we've helped people around the globe. I agree with you that endless war is stupid and after a point enough is enough, but it matters who you turn the battle over to and how otherwise you very much risk undoing all the progress won in the Kurdistan region. This is how it happens. It's not some organic process. It's political decisions like these that make a group of people make most of the sacrifice and then leaving them to die.

I'm not watching a YouTube video. I grew up in NY and was there for most of Trump's life in the public eye. He was one of many realtors who dealt with the mob and the teamsters to get his name on contracts and mostly only made big ticket projects that ripped up whole portions of the city and turned them into luxury housing to accommodate the financial services industry (most of whom live outside NYC anyway). Most of what he contributed to NY was keeping tabloids like the Daily News and the NY Post busy covering his various marital scandals, discrimination cases, and ceaseless self promotion. He paid to make sure his name and face were everywhere and he's still doing that in a way, except now he's got a whole apparatus of government, a political party, lobbyists, and a few media outlets to also promote his brand. It's like being in the White House is his ultimate MLM scam. Of all the people with a wtf reaction to Trump, New Yorkers have it the worst because we can't believe one of our home grown grifters escaped the asylum. For most of us, he's in the same category as squeegee men.

no worries brother~ at the time, I was young and dumb. I was just like every other young Americans who thought going to War was the coolest things, all the action we'd get, the stories you'd tell when coming back home, all those glorious imagination just didn't happen to be true though.

it was a choice that I've made and I have to live with it but thanks for your hospitality :D

you are absolutely right but I feel like we gotta start somewhere. I think the reason why we keep getting stuck in some country is out of sympathy, and yes. abandoning allies doesn't feel good but although it may be an ugly method, certain sacrifices has to be made in order for ball to be rolling.

and it's a whole another story if you add our Troop's welfare vs Other country's civilians in the mix. Most of these politicians who favor wars never ever want to send their own kids.

Seriously though, if you Yanks care anything for our friend Disciplined Galt @Galt you'll knock off the war making for a while. After all, it is his nation of Sweden that takes all the war refugees and at the rate you're going they won't have any room left for him to return to. Let Syria run their own damned gas station dammit ;)

Yes, and as I said earlier, the land the Kurds are settled on in Syria doesn't even belong to them. They went there as refugees in the twentieth century. And they continue to oppress the Christians and push them off the farms and out of the cities and towns they built as is their pattern. They really aren't viable long term, the actual Syrians are coming back, eventually.

If you ever want to see this hokey, romanticized, gung ho, US war culture satirized in film check out the brilliant science fiction satire movie Starship Troopers. It nails it so precisely that most movie goers didn't pick up on that they were watching a satire and enjoyed it as a straight space adventure. It is absolutely a masterpiece, brilliant in every respect. You might even recognize your young self in the idealistic young brainwashed patriots as they ship off into outer space to fight the dirty, evil bug planet.
