43-8 iirc.
Should've won 49
ya
they didn't take full advantage of that great team
got one ring...could have had 3 but were totally out matched and out coached in 48
49 was brutal waste of a great team
50 was when the defense said fuck it we got this

The 72 Dolphins may as well pop the champagne bottles now. The Niners are not a threat and not even close to as good as their record suggests.

I agree. Huge Niners fan. But they're overrated this year. Still the best team in the West but that's not saying a ton.
who is the best team then?
All the teams with good records have holes

I think Niners are top 3 easy...less holes than the other teams with good records IMO

Personally I don't think they are overrated

That can be true and them still be overrated.

Their ability to put pressure on the quarterback with only the front 4 is fantastic and makes up for a lot of deficits that they have in the secondary.

Picking up Sanders was a huge huge move as he's exactly the type of guy they were lacking and needed to give Jimmy another safety blanket to go with Kittle. Samuel needs to be more consistent and they need to get production consistently from Bourne, Pettis, Goodwin, etc. We really need to keep Coleman and Breida healthy down the stretch though.

Having Staley and Juice coming back soon will help.

Don't take me saying that they're overrated as saying that they aren't good... Just that I've watched every game and they're not as good as a lot of people are giving them credit for being. They can still make it to the NFC championship game or beyond though.

yep, I hear ya

Best team in the League IMO

1Niners
2Ravens
3Saints
4Patriots
5Seattle
6KC
Home field is gonna mean everything in the AFC
NFC has better defenses and they travel better so a road win is more likely in divisional or champ round

Pressure with 4 is how you win Playoff games without a dominant offense...very few teams have good lines anyways now that you can't practice hard...physical defenses up front have big advantage(only a few of those defenses around though)
Kyle Shanahan is getting comfortable...SF has a very bright future

Their schedule gets a lot tougher from here on out...but 5 home games is pretty sweet

Was thinking about getting tickets for week 17 in seattle...holding back because both teams may be resting starters by then

Apologies if I've asked before but how come you're a Niners fan?

I get asked all the time why Bills but there's a few of us at my NFL bar now which is cool.

If a team was good, and therefore on TV a lot, when I was little I became a fan. So Notre Dame football, Niners, Tarheel basketball. I've stuck with all of them even when they've had garbage years. I'm a Yankees fan because it's a family thing. 4 generations.

So historically were they shown on TV a lot because they were good?

Most of my Arsenal mates here became fans in 2006 when they started showing more English Premier League soccer games and we were a pretty big deal so we tended to be shown a lot.
