I've seen some of her stuff. I think people like her have 2 brains. It's all how you learn it I guess but I can't even begin to imagine how complicated that would be.

@Hauler - I know you play....it scrambles my brain when I see people with the strings upside down. It completely changes how I understand how to fingerpick, especially when the alternating bass line is going.
Elizabeth C was amazing! She influenced a lot of guitarists.
Good stuff man!Lots of good stuff in here that I need to check out. Here’s one of my favorite Leadbelly tune, I personally asked David Geffen to buy me Leadbelly’s guitar.

I found a Leadbelly Sings for Children album at the library years and years ago and decided to give it a whirl on Kurt Cobain’s recommendation, and it was excellent. Here’s the link to the playlist.

I went through the thread real quick to see if anyone posted those Leadbelly tunes and the Washington Phillips one hit me when I was going through YouTube, pardon me if it was already posted. I’ve always preferred the 12 string version of John Hardy compared to the accordion version. I’ve always loved how strong Leadbelly’s voice was but I appreciate the thinness of Phillips. I really like these old timey blues musicians but I have to find myself in the mood. I’m surprised there wasn’t more Robert Johnson and Hank Sr. in here. Gonna have to go through and listen to the track in the thread. Much like the Texas Tunes, I think I’m gonna discover some new artists.Good stuff man!
That Washington Phillips stuff is amazing, I think I posted a couple of those in here as well. If you read about him, they don't really know exactly what instrument he was playing hah.
Have fun, lots of killer stuff in here!
