I see his messiah complex is in fool swing today.

He’s giving away Palestinian land to the Israelis...for free. Because? No One really knows.

I’m sure it will all turn out fine though. Nothing much happens over there anyway.

Trump just upended 40 years of US policy toward Israel and may have shattered any hope of peace in the Middle East
  • Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday announced the US would break from decades of policy and no longer view Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank as "inconsistent with international law."
  • This marks a stark departure from the policies of previous administrations and a 1978 State Department legal opinion issued under the administration of former President Jimmy Carter.
  • Israeli settlements are among the most heated topics in foreign affairs, and this move could derail any hope of peace and a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians.
  • Palestinian leaders decried the announcement as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a Trump ally who is fighting for his political survival, expressed gratitude.

Donald Trump Appointed Gordon Sondland Because He Gave $1M to His Inauguration Party, Ex-Ambassador to Russia Says
But according to former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, Sondland's appointment to the Trump administration is a perfect example of exchanging "private resources for a public office."

Sondland, who will give live testimony to House impeachment investigators on Wednesday, is a businessman who made his fortune in hotels and had no diplomatic experience before joining the Trump administration.

Before being appointed, Sondland donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration party. In a Washington Post op-ed published Tuesday, McFaul said the payment was the "very clear reason" for his current position, calling the arrangement a "quid pro quo of the simplest kind."

Trump threatens smear campaign against Alexander Vindman, the Purple Heart recipient who said the White House left out some phrases from its Ukraine call memo
  • Col. Alexander Vindman, a top White House National Security Council aide, testified last week that the White House left out some phrases from its memo summarizing President Donald Trump's Ukraine call.
  • Trump has claimed Vindman is a "Never Trumper," a member of a Republican movement that tried to stop Trump from becoming president in 2016.
  • There is no evidence to suggest this. Asked about it on Sunday, Trump said he would release evidence "real soon."
  • Vindman is a particularly damaging witness in Trump's impeachment inquiry because of his firsthand knowledge of the call that sparked House Democrats' impeachment inquiry.

Trump being investigated over whether he lied to Mueller as impeachment pressure mounts
Donald Trump is being investigated by Democrats over whether he lied to special counsel Robert Mueller, a court has been told.

Having vowed he was prepared to testify under oath and in person with Mr Mueller during his two-year investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 election and whether there was collusion with the Trump campaign, the president and his lawyers eventually agreed to answer a series of written questions.

When Mr Mueller testified in a seven-hour appearance on Capitol Hill in July, it was put to him by a Democratic congresswoman that the president’s answers “showed that he wasn’t always being truthful”. Mr Mueller, a former director of the FBI responded: “I would say generally.”

Now, it has emerged Democrats are examining the president’s written answers, apparently as part of their broader impeachment probe.
