Which folks dont think that? Take one trip to Costco or any grocery store for that matter and you will see my claim is more than validated. All those bottles of water (dont get me started on what a scam that bottled water is), all that clamshell packaging, the plastic cutlery at the food court, the straws and cups and styrofoam containers.
The point is most people forget that the first step is to reduce then reuse and as a last resort recycle. I dont ever buy bottles water, seldomly eat fast food and avoid clamshell packaging wherever possible. I'm not trying to toot my horn, I doubt anything I do makes any impact at all, but I think you completely missed my point.
