  • Victory for defending champion Zverev eliminates Nadal from ATP Finals
  • Alexander Zverev defeated Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 7-6(4) to eliminate Rafael Nadal from the ATP Finals
  • Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas join Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem in the semifinals

Victory for defending champion Alexander Zverev eliminates Rafael Nadal from the ATP Finals.

Once again, Nadal comes short in his effort to become as good a competitor as Roger Federer, but he shouldn't hang his head too low.

Afterall, the #1 ranked player knows the rankings aren't completely meaningless.
Of Nadal:
"They mean...something. I don't know...I worked hard but came up short again."

Just a few hours after a comeback victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas kept his hopes of reaching the semifinals of the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time since 2015 alive, Rafael Nadal suffered a reversal of fortunes when defending champion Alexander Zverev defeated Daniil Medvedev in straight sets, eliminating Nadal from the season-ending championships.

Yeah what 14 year old girl doesn’t want a kiss forced on them by a balding, pig faced, 38 year old man? I hope he’s charged.
You see the smile on her face? She has completely forgotten that moments earlier she was hit in the face with a tennis ball.

Give him a medal.

Why do all of the women grunt now?

In my day ladies grunting loudly like that publicly was an exceedingly rare thing; today it seems commonplace.

How many years back?
Oi, haha.
I used to play pretty seriously from 11ish til 15ish. I'm 44 now so you do the maths. Only played at county level once so I wasn't hot shit butI used to play at least 5 times a week. I never grunted because it doesn't sound particularly nice but there were a lot of grunters for sure.

I also never really found it necessary. Maybe that and my weird elbows is what my problem was. My serve was dreadful but I was epic with a volley and smash.

As much as I love woman’s tennis and as much as my wife looks like Sharapova those noises turned me off the sport,

Sharapova was the worst.

I had a season of tennis where everything clicked. I just hit ace after ace. It was amazing. Like someone else was controlling me. It lasted a year.

I returned to cricket once that golden spell left me.

Sports involving any sort of physicality are immeasurably better to watch when played by men.

I can deal with the screaming in women's tennis but what I can't tolerate is the fucking sissy serves and returns.

I disagree.

Before serena and to an extant Sharapova tennis with women was a very graceful affair.

Waspish back hands, skilled top spins. It wasn’t a power serve and volley a la Sampras.

Fedora changed the men’s game. Nadal was his victim. Good.

I really enjoyed woman’s tennis.

I actually like international women’s football when England are playing.

Serve and volley is terrible. The Sampras era was terrible because of this.

It's a real sport, not gymnastics, so who gives a fuck about grace? But we can agree to disagree.

Also, Nadal was no one's victim. Nadal is 24-16 against Federer. And especially early on, Federer had no idea how to deal with Nadal unless the match was on grass.

Nadal was juiced more than a cow in the UK. during the bse crisis.

It’s no surprise he took ‘time out’ as he rinsed the drugs out of his system.

Nadal had Federer on clay. But he was juiced

Remember when a French politician lost a civil case because of this ridiculous claim?

Nadal, just like Djokovic and Murray and Delpo, has taken time off for injuries. Federer is blessed with a playing style that isn't injury-conducive, the other top players not so much.
