Shame, it seems like a good plan and the Palestinians are unlikely to get a better deal any time soon.
is definitely a good plan for the ultra nationalists of Israel.

The Palestinians lose out quite badly though.

They lose their Lands and rights until Israel decide they are happy with their compliance.

The Israeli settlers will carry on taking on more of their land too now that they have permission to keep the land they have already encroached on.

It was interesting there were only a couple of low level ambassadors there from Bahrain and Qatar. No other Middle East country would sanction this ‘deal’ it’s a non starter and everyone knows it.

Netanyahu gets a break from his crimes for a day or two and same goes for Trump.

It’s the equivalent of chip paper.

They get much more land than they have now.

I don't want to get into a huge Israel/Palestine debate. Currently their situation sucks balls, with no end in sight. This offers them a way out.

Me neither. If people who have Nobel peace prizes can’t sort it out I doubt me and 25 metre length swimming certificate from primary school will be of much help.

This deal is too weighted towards Israel though.

Trump didn’t make sense either. One minute he was saying Jerusalem will be for Israel only and the text says something completely different.

It stinks.

They should do what my Dad did to us when we were splitting candy bars...
Have one side split it up then the other side gets to pick which side they want.

Where is your dad right now?

He is required on urgent business.

There's no reason the two-state solution shouldn't be the 1967 borders and it would actually be pretty easy to force Israel to accept that deal if US foreign policy hadn't been captured by nutbag end-times evangelicals and the Israeli lobby. Israel isn't shit without US support, so let's not pretend that this is the only way out. It's a good plan for Zionists, yes. It's not a good plan for actually solving the problem.

Tbf their US funded military is up there and their US based intelligence service is in the top 5 of the world.

If the US stopped supporting them, they'd be diplomatically fucked. They could be forced by the UN to accept the 1967 deal at risk of having their economy crippled.

The only countries supporting Israel unconditionally are the US and the two major US vassal states, Australia and Canada - oh, and the Federated States of Micronesia and Palau. Turn US policy and you turn Australian and Canadian policy too, so they don't matter. Even the UK is not in lockstep support. It seems that Israel is this powerful country, but it's current right-wing agenda is hanging on by the thread of US support, which seems like it would be forever enduring but really isn't that reliable.
