Listen up people. In the early 1900's North American wildlife was on the brink, in 2020 most of it is doing incredibly well. One of the first things that happened was the Migratory Bird Act. This protects the birds and induces penalties to people who harm them. In one well known case BP let a fuckton of oil free in the Gulf of Mexico. They were fined $100 million due to the damage they caused. Under a new proposed law the penatly for doing that will be $0.
I don't care what side of the aisle you sit on, if you like to hunt birds, look at them because they're cool, or just find Canada Geese to be terrifying because they're the baddest mofos to ever walk God's green earth; these animals belong to all of us. Take 5 minutes out of your day to call, write, or email your elected representatives and tell them that you think these animals deserve our continued protection and not to become collateral damage to industry.
