Correct.Does this mean if a pitcher comes into the game when it's 3-0 his team is up, if he gives up 2 hits, he can't be taken out the game until he pitches to the 3rd batter?
Unless he fakes an injury.
It's a significant change to the game.

this is huge. This along with DH in the NL will take a lot of strategy away from the game.Pitchers must face at minimum 3 batters or pitch to the end of a half inning.
The DH definitely removes strategy.this is huge. This along with DH in the NL will take a lot of strategy away from the game.
I hope Houston breaks the record for most players hit by pitch in a season.Dusty Baker is pleading with the league to protect his players. Many pitchers have openly discussed their willingness to throw at Astros players when they face them this season.
Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling was nearly dealt to the Angels last week, and they happen to open the season against the Astros. Admitting intent is sort of taboo in baseball, but when asked he said "Ah...That's a good question. Would I do it? I would lean towards yes. In the right time and the right place. Maybe I give up two runs the inning before and I got some anger going. Who knows? But, yeah, it would certainly be on my mind.”
Reds righty Trevor Bauer said he was "not going to let them forget the fact that they are hypocrites, they are cheaters”
Indians righty Mike Clevinger said Houston hitters “shouldn’t be comfortable” in the batter's box next year.
It's going to be a very interesting season. Each team will be looking to get some revenge on not only the actions of the Astros but also their pathetic apologies. There will be plenty of letter-high 4 seamers heading their way this year. It will be interesting to see if they take their lumps as they should, or if they fight back and retaliate.
Dusty Baker: MLB needs to stop talk of retaliation against Astros
I think they will.I hope Houston breaks the record for most players hit by pitch in a season.
Just bean them randomly while they are in the bullpen? That would be hilarious.Including the pitchers.
Astros just hired the biggest crybaby manager as well.I think they will.
How it progresses after that depends largely on them. If they take their lumps it will likely be squashed by the most of the league, although NY and CLE will likely want to get their own revenge regardless of how things transpire before their seasonal matchups. But even then - the Astros need to expect it and take their lumps.
If they start barking or having their pitchers retaliate or - at worst - start charging the mound after taking one in the back? It's gonna go on all season long. Baseball has a way of policing itself - and their transgressions will be dealt with.
To my understanding this is an apples to oranges comparison. The general management for Man City fibbed about sponsorship money which, correct me if I'm wrong the reported revenue allows teams to spend more on players. This gives an unfair advantage when it comes to money you can spend. This is how you punish a team for cheating.

Since MLB isn't doing this... Every player on the Astros should be hit by pitch. Including the pitchers.
I thought Tony La Rusa retired?Astros just hired the biggest crybaby manager as well.
But they were instead granted immunity providing they admitted to what went down.Astros players cheated and they should be punished individually.
Crusty baker wanted none of that Tony Larussa smoke.I thought Tony La Rusa retired?
LaRussa was such a bitch.Crusty baker wanted none of that Tony Larussa smoke.
He would never even consider managing a shitty team. I can see why you are jealousLaRussa was such a bitch.
Wah wah wahhhhh. He was the biggest fucking baby. Constantly complaining. Then his players followed suit.
the main players in the cheating are certainly gonna get some outlaw justice on this oneThis is how you punish a team for cheating.

the whole immunity or reduced punishment thing is pretty lameBut they were instead granted immunity providing they admitted to what went down.
MLB has handled this horribly.
Damage control for when the mob comes after them.Players from the 2018 Cheating Red Sux think the Astros bashing is "a bit much". Big surprise there.
Red Sox's Martinez: Astros-bashing a bit much
