All they need to do is run the trains. The idiots won’t actually stand in their way, and if they do, too bad. The war amps taught us all not to play on train tracks

I haven't really been following this story, I'm sorry to say, but it took me all of about a minute and a half last night to confirm my suspicion around who is the driving force behind all of this.

Much like nearly every other public disturbance of this nature it seems our good friends in the local direct action anarchy movement have their fingerprints all over this situation as well, and they are being surprisingly open about it this time.

Ivan Drury of the Red Braid Alliance for Decolonial Socialism said many of the participants have been young Indigenous activists who have become leaders of the movement in Vancouver.

Drury said he met five of them when Red Braid participated in the CP Rail blockade on Thursday night. They had been at the occupation of Eby’s office earlier that day, and two told him that their first act of protest had been a blockade on Granville Street Bridge on Wednesday, he said.

Trudeau cancelled his trip to Barbados. He plans to have a meeting with Canada's Emergency Response Group so they can DISCUSS what they should do with the blockades.

Fucking hilarious.

Shit would have been squashed about 1 hour after it started here in the states. I think this marks 12 days where the Canadian rail system has been hampered by these illegal protests. 12 DAYS!

I thought the criticisms of Trudeau were mostly just jokes, but this dude truly has ZERO backbone.

I would expect the emergency response group to be handpicked liberals like every other panel or board in Canada.they will probably come out with a plan to make railway crossings into rainbow crosswalks and legal protest areas

I just bought some Euro wood. It's typically priced much better than Canada wood anyway. If the quality is good enough, that might be my new softwood source from here on out.

I've grown tired of dealing with Canada's bullshit.

Ever know parents that have a 5 year old who is such a brat that the kid is basically the head of the household? The parents are so terrified of a meltdown that they pander to the kid's every wish?

That's Canada right now.

Hauler @Hauler I'm trying to think if anything like this has ever happened here or in any other real country.

Surely we would have done the right thing and just shot everyone off the train tracks, right?

Ramming speed.

Put the decision in their own hands. You can take 6 steps to the left, or you can stay where you are.

The choice is yours.

It’s interesting, if you look at Canada’s three “major” papers the Post and Globe are critical of Trudeau and the blockade. The Toronto Star however is basically sucking the protesters balls. All my liberal friends in Toronto are over the moon. That’s Trudeau’s base so he can’t upset them. Once again, Toronto is a blight on our nation.

@Shlomo Lars wants the conservatives to team up with Jagmeet on a vote of no confidence.

Talk about being out of touch lol

And once again, the “other people’s police” refusing to take action against a band of lawless Iroquois. If the natives weren’t associated with this, believe me they’d be cracking white peoples skulls.
