Do you regularly make time to get away with your wife?

Do you still plan dates?

Do you think it matters?

Yes. I fill vacuums so if I don't make time I will continue working and fill every bit of free time with new projects. So I regularly block time without plans to make sure I don't follow my natural inclination too much.

Some days we just sleep in get up make an awesome breakfast and sit by the lake with awesome brunch drinks. This can turn into anything. But lots of times we'll get talking about a theme and turn the day into that. If there is a big UFC on this can easily become a brunch date that extends till midnight.

To answer OP, yes we do and it's important. For the last few years our couples retreat firms was Whistler for Crankwork for five days. This year we signed up for our first cycling race together in the summer. We both turn forthy this year so hoping to hit Hawaii in the winter sometime. Little things are good too. Binge watch tv series after a snowboarding weekend with the kids is a great way to spend a Sunday.

To answer OP, no, I don’t have a wife and no woman would ever love me

The wife spent last weekend with her Mother to see a show and treat her to dinner.

So today I told her we would shut the business down for a couple days and treat ourselves.
So we're going to hit some museums, restaurants, I got her a spa morning, and finally just sit out on the beach and just relax.

that sounds great
got the wife a rifle a few days back for her birthday
Didn't know you were wifed up.

Wedding anniversary tomorrow, we were going to Monterey for the weekend but we've got some other stuff going on. So, just going out to our favourite Italian tomorrow night. It'll feel nice to get dressed up, have a martini and some oysters at the bar and then some nice pasta.

It matters a lot to keep them happy, I have a baby right now that my wife is busy looking after. I'll take her out once the baby is a bit older.

not actually wifed up, I usually call her my "lady"

over 20 years together, we got rings and all that...but no ceremony and no tax break

why mess with a good thing, we happy

20 years here too on and off. We were engaged for 9 years, we got wed in his lunch break and I went back to our temporary apartment on my own, haha. Cost $50. Had to be done or I would have been kicked out of the country so it was far from romantic.

Were planning a renewal in Thailand but there was so much else going on it didn't seem appropriate.
