@Yossarian a Malaysian/Singaporean guy I know says that his race is Chinese. He probably means ethnicity but you get my point - many Chinese people don't consider being Chinese strictly a nationality
I get it. But it doesn't make it so.
The point I am trying to make is, if I call something after where it's from, I shouldn't be considered a racist. Belgian chocolate, Swiss cheese, etc. These adjectives should not be considered racist, and neither should the word "Chinese" be. I want that word to be as normal as the other adjectives. I don't want racism to be watered down like this, I want real racism to be something be fought against, not make up fake racism, to distract us from real racism. We've seen what happened with the word "rape". "Yes, officer! He eye-raped me!" You get the point.
