I didn't have an issue with that, but think about it. They go on the lamb. That pancake place was far enough away that they had to overnight at some point. She walks out of the restaurant, drops a dime on the brother at which point the hitman covers at least 8 hours of highway before the brother walks outside realizing he'd been ditched. Everything they write is just sloppily thrown together.
I told my wife the same thing when that happened. I was like "dude got a jet on standby? How did he get there so fast?"

I know it's fiction, but a little believability would be nice.

Just because they didn't show it doesn't mean she didn't do it. I just assumed she did. Because when she caught him w the second burner, she decided he was for sure dead. So I doubt they drove farther away. That would make no sense
Adding in a 10 second clip of them pulling out of the convenient store the opposite way they pulled in and showing a WEST road sign would have helped.

Either they didn't write it in because they were lazy with reality or a crucial shot ended up on the cutting room floor.

As it turned out, a crucial scene fell sort of flat and the opportunity to show how cold she was for the 3 hours (or whatever) she spent talking with him while driving him back to his death was lost.

If that's what they intended happened - which I'm not sold on.

I also liked how the FBI was all like "Don't get on that flight!" Apparently not realizing they can just, you know, ground flights.

Or wait....is the FBI supposed to ground the whole airport? Because she didn't know he was even getting on a plane at first. And then she probably had 2 mins to decide where he is and then what. Ground the state? To do what then after that? Marty wasn't actually working w the FBI so they wouldn't ride in to save him. Why would they ground any planes.

Haven't you learned yet? This cartel likes to just chit chat with Marty.
Yes Marty needed to see Helen get killed. Because he probably didn't understand how violent the cartel was after his friends and family all got whacked.
Plus after Helen refers to the cartel head as "my client" the entire show so as to insulate him from his name ever being said out loud, it's good to fly everyone to his front door and chill w them

As usual you've completely missed the point.

The point is the FBI would not ground any planes or help him because he wasnt working w them. The paperwork was fake. If they ride in to save Marty it would be a death sentence for his whole family because he was not working with them. Did you watch the show? What r u talking about. They didn't even know he was getting on a plane. So she probably had one minit to figure out where he was and then shut down a whole airport or a state. Which would do zero. Because they can't ride in to save Marty anyway

She called him because there was a signed agreement saying he was working for the FBI. So yes, they'd have cause to save him. That being said, when the fingers start pointing and its revealed that it was Helen who signed the papers, guess who ends up dead?

In fact, I'd wager next season that we find out the reason Helen was killed was because Navarro was informed by a mole that she was wheeling and dealing with the feds.

The conversation he had w the FBI was him telling her he did NOT sign the papers. So the FBI can't run in and save him. Because he was not working w them. The papers were fake. So would they just save him and then set him free? Cartel would wipe them out for the fuck of it

They were real to the FBI, which is what matters.
Yes and then when they FBI rides in and saves Marty (while he was walking into a plane in an unknown airport w 45 seconds to figure out where he is and ground the whole state) anyway when the FBI rides in and saves Marty and gets into a cartel shootout, and bring Marty back, and then he doesn't testify at all, I wonder what the cartel would do to marty then.

Because IT WOULD REALLY LOOK LIKE THE FBI LOVES HIM FOR NO REASON WHICH THE CARTEL WOULD SURELY BE HAPPY ABOUT!!!

Let's see how that phone call would go.....the FBI agent hangs up and calls her boss

Agent - "we have to save Marty he mite be about to get killed by the cartel"
Boss "yes let's save him to be can testify"
Agent "I just found out his paperwork is fake"
Boss "well that is concerning . Where is he?"
Agent "on a plane somewhere"
Boss "what is your plan"
Agent "can we ground all air travel?"
Boss "you are fired"

Fixed it for you.

Agent - "we have to save Marty he might be about to get killed by the cartel"
Boss "yes let's save him so be can testify"
Agent "I just found out his lawyer is setting him up"
Boss "well that is concerning . Where is he?"
Agent "On a plane at the only hangar in this shitty ass town"
Boss "what is your plan"
Agent "Call the tower and ground the flight. *Then we'll grab the whole flight and arrest the lawyer for forging FBI documents"
Boss "Good plan, that way we can both save Marty and it won't look like he's working for us."

*In reality everything after the flight being grounded would take place next season because these writer's are horrible lazy.

I'm on episode 5 of season 1 it was a bit jarring two see the hairy fbi agent and the trailer park guy forget his name after some butt breaking sex laying on the bed together not sure how any of that is important to the story.
