I ended up ditching my GILD, it was a fad buy for me and I should have held to no cup = no buy.
I don't blame you and agree with that about 95% except I wouldn't quite term them a "fad" for a couple reasons.

1) Outside of COVID they are a solid company with established returns and a good balance sheet. Given a little time they will likely make a decent return, just not what is available now with this freakish event.

2) Taking an educated guess on who will come up with a vaccine is beyond any of us but they are at the leading edge. Whoever lands this global deal... their solution will be the most valuable commodity the planet has seen in modern economics. It may be a gamble but the returns could be astronomical. Spending a bit with a company that will give you a good return is not a horrible bet.

My prediction is market will dive today, thousands, biggest ever.
We'll see if it's appropriately named "Tanker Tuesday".

Hope so.

Not good, but not a bloodbath
Something is keeping it afloat, ungodly hocus pocus behind the scenes.
My stocks are going up because they're backed by "too big to fail", and "too corrupt to fail"

A lot is already baked in.
We were flirting with $30k just 2 months ago. We're now at $23k

That's a 23% haircut

Bill Gates is literally keeping one of the positions afloat. It's pretty sweet.
