Recent down turn on Qs and Indu was huge volume. The up move volume is not promising. Looks like big money trying to get out without crashing everything in a day

I bought a small position in Lockheed Martin.
Other big big defense stocks I'm watching. ETFs on US war stocks I cannot order from where I live.

Big military spending might only start after the election I guess, but I don't know. What do you guys think?

First sign of global recovery from Corona and dealing with the aftermath I am sadly seeing military spending go up. Maybe as late as mid 2021.

If I had a project and income currently, I would invest in other defense titles now as well / 'park' my money with them.

Worst time to take a multi month holiday sabbatical.

My wife was in cyber security for years so we keep long term positions with Lockheed, CACI, Booz Allen, Northrop, etc... move money around a bit based upon the latest awards, but they have almost all performed very well over the last 4-5 years.

I would imagine most straight defense contractors are on a similar trajectory, and contract awards are public knowledge so that makes it easy.

I agree that if Trump stays in then military spending will continue or increase but I don't think it will be a massive difference from what we've had.

I'm thinking of buying into Teekay Tankers (TNK). They came down 6.5% yesterday and another 4% pre-market today after some recent surges.
Might be a good entrance to buy? They're gonna need those tankers for oil storage so should be in demand.

You want to buy stocks that are on their way up, not a hard and fast rule but I've stopped buying stocks on there way down and its working out well.

Agreed! Trying to time the bottom is just not possible and really frustrating.

BT, did you stay with BLMN? I'm up 30% with them overall.

I own that one too.
Up 38% since I bought. Today has definitely helped. That one has been lagging compared to the rest of my portfolio.

A little birdie told me the box stores of Home Depot and Lowes are having record-breaking sales with all the DIYers getting their projects done during furlough.

I can definitely believe that. I had to run by Lowes yesterday to pick up something and the place was absolutely packed.

Dollar General is another one that intrigues me. Every time I drive past ours out here, it's packed.

Yeah, but they only make $1 at a time.
