@Tim Kennedy hunting in hog heaven! I like this. I haven't had the pleasure of this kind of hunt. I heard these are some mean nasty beasts.Just look at this-

I own 2 blue tick coon dogs and a cane corso nothing like going on a hog hunt early in the morning (hounds are to corner the hog then you send in the corso or whatever bully breed you decide to use to hold the hog until we get there to putthe hog out) you can hunt without dogs but my family has had this tradition for so long it kinda seems inhumane to have your dogs do most of the work but its what they were bred for and they have neck protection just in case

Sounds like a good time to me. If we had them, I'd hunt them. Can you tell is how mean the things are? I'm sure you are carefull but these thing can attack right? There really isn't a danger element to the things hunted here.
No yeah definitely some of the more dangerous game you can hunt for, those tusks can open a gaping wound like you never believe it. And they are extremely aggressive the males And females , that's why we keep the dogs protected with the right gear but even then you gotta stay really close behind the dogs because the protective gear doesn't cover their whole body so if you're not there quickly to help out the dogs if could go south really quickly

hunting with assault rifles lol. What happened to the challenge of the hunt - you know, bow and arrows and spears - real hunters? I don't get the thrill of hunting when everything is stacked in your favor. Back before high tech weaponry and scopes and tree stands you didn't know if you were going to come back alive or missing a limb after a hunt. This picture is pathetic.

Oh, I get it, you think he hunts everything like that. Let me fill you in on something. The wild hog population in Texas is out of control, it's open season to hunt them year round with pretty much anything you want, and the population of hogs is still unmanageable.

With an overpopulation of pigs you would think the price would be super low, especially when lean meat is more expensive.
Also, imo hunters look stupid with all that gear. That's not hunting. Do they spray themselves with female pig piss to attract the males too? It's just hilarious how far technology has taken the pride out of being a hunter. Now any dipshit can go buy a high powered rifle with a scope, a can of pig piss and a tree stand and call himself a hunter. People don't even know how to track animals anymore without dogs.
You don't get it. There are a shit ton of deer in NJ, why don't we see cheap venison in the super markets?
Also no one is going in tree stands and spraying themselves with pig pass to hunt pigs. I'd be more than willing to bet he has a ton of kills with a bow. The guy also hunts hogs with fucking spears on the backs of horses. Is that good enough for you?
But has he ever killed one with his bare hands because he had to? I would pay to see that.
Wild boar meat isn't FDA aproved. Same with deer,elk,phasant,ect. You either have to know somebody or kill that shit yourself to buy or eat it.
Edit- I'm wrong. I guess they sell venison and stuff at markets. I have never seen this. Or by mail order.
