Why are MW, LHW and HW all as deep as a puddle of piss at the moment?

Seems that aside from handful of elite fighters at the top end, the top 15 rankings of all three of these divisions are littered with elderly has beens and mediocre never weres.

I prefer watching adult-sized people fight, but even I have to admit when you look at the actual talent level, the 145, 155 and 170 midgets divisions shit all over the grown men weight classes.

What's behind the lack of depth? George Soros? 5G technology?

I was gonna say something positive about 185 until I realized Uriah Hall is ranked #10

Most adult males, in any sort of athletic shape are going to be between 150 and 200 pounds. Factor in weight cutting and you have your answer. 125, 205 and HW have always, and will always be shallow. 135 and 85 ebb and flow because they sit at the slopes of the bell curve. The world just doesn't have that many really big or really tiny people.

Admittedly I haven't explored the factor that 5G and fake rockets might have on it, so perhaps that needs to be explored.

The talent pool among big men is shallow due to most bigger men getting into football and so on..if the money was better to lure giants from other sports that would help too.. Also the fact that the UFC HW limit is 265 aka smaller than the HW hs wrestling limit also is weak.

Agreed, but there is also a limit of people willing to be hit in the face for living too.

That's very true as wel lol the older I get the crazier I realize it was but wouldn't change it for the world.. That's why I preferred to be the hammer on top instead of eating a lot of damage.. I'm very blessed considering the amount fights I had a nassty ncut and dislocated shoulder and partially torn pectoral fractured collar bone from a vicious slam that knocked a guy cold but fkd me up though lok

But yes, you are correct. They should but won't adjust the weight classes for this reason. The division for HWs too scared to fight at HW (205) needs to go away immediately to at least not split the already shallow talent pool up there.

It was the shock of seeing 2-2 Ian Heinisch ranked at #13 that inspired the thread and then Urijah confirmed by suspicions.
