Never heard of her or seen the show but that is terrible for her small child. Hopefully she is found okay.ay_116077435.jpg

Unfortunate update.

Sad. Drowning had to be one of the worst ways to die.

I don't have a source for this, but I remember reading the story of someone who drowned and was resuscitated. They said it was a terrible sense of rising panic, right up to the point where they couldn't hold their breath any longer. When they finally gulped in the water there was an almost immediate relief, as if their brain accepted the fact that they were dying, and apparently the last few seconds of consciousness were incredibly peaceful.

I'm not sure that's the same for everyone.

it is actually pretty painless because you just black out.
I've been rescued from drowning twice. 2/3 of the most horrible experience in my life. Not trying to take the shine off it, and RIP to this poor lady. I don't want to share more in case it impacts others here.

Fuck all that. My worst fear is drowning. I can't swim for shit and I'm not even black lol...

Had that experience too.
Inhaled a bunch of water and swallowed a bunch.
Most painful, panicking thing. Still never figured out how inhaling water hurts the brain so much...
Made me wonder whether its better to just inhale really quickly and get it over with, or hold breath as long as possible and hope you pass out first... you won't; The reflex is too strong.

I can't imagine it is in any way peaceful whatsoever.
