Splinty ain't got nothing on this.

The Lonian, a 285-foot-long, crew of 22, room for 14 guests. Owned by Las Vegas billionaire Lorenzo Fertitta, who used to own UFC.

Lonian has a maximum speed of 18 knots, cruises at about 12 knots and can travel 5,000 nautical miles powered by diesel-electric engines. This ship carries more than 100,000 gallons of fuel. The ship has a helipad and a large swimming pool surrounded by cabanas, and a huge movie screen at one end. The pool's translucent bottom serves as the ceiling for the beach club below. There’s a swim platform to the sea, which opens and closes like the top on a convertible car.

Lonian’s support yacht, Hodor, arrived Saturday. Hodor is itself 210 feet long, 42 feet wide and carries an extra crew of 22, including a helicopter crew, plus a cadre of water toys to complement what is already on board the Lonian.

Word is that Fertitta and his family will be arriving on Tuesday, and then the yacht, with owner and guests on board and accompanied by Hodor and crew, will head to the San Juan Islands for some fishing. Then, it's heading up to Alaska, according to sources in the know.

That support yacht really looks like a shithole compared to the real yacht. I wonder how far away Lorenzo makes that thing stay away so he doesn't have to look at that eyesore.

Second mate/officer
3 deck hands

Serious question, why does a guy need something like that? I''ve never been into water or boats so I don't understand. The cost to maintain is has to be astronomical. I get it, he's rich but that still seems like a dumb way to spend money.

That's the point, it's spending money to show how much money you have.

When you're a billionaire, what else do you spend it on? if the answer is nothing, how do you justify the pursuit of all that money to begin with?

Boats are awesome. They are all money pits. I can't even imagine what it costs to run that every year.

He probably writes a good portion of it off like the private jets owned by the ufc. I bet if you look at the title (lol, does something like that even have a title? Like where do you even begin?) it has, its probably owned by some shell company or some shit.

He'd be stupid to personally own that. Just the liability alone. I noticed he's not flying the American flag though. What the fuck is that about?

So realistically, it’s cruise around in 2 yachts, or forfeit that money to the gov and let them disburse it as they see fit.
