Your own article states something like it happened 400 times in 20 years, that's not often.
false memories happen all the time. Rarely, it results in the death of a child.
A lot of times, it results in people going to prison who should not.

What, neglect? Yes, that mechanism is well understood.
no, the mechanism of false memories. What you're seeing when a child is left in a car is a very rare manifestation of a worst-case-possible outcome of a neurological blind spot that afflicts every human.

I invite anyone to provide a contravening understanding that either accepts that well-documented truth, or offers sufficient scientific evidence of an alternate theory that includes neglect.

but all that I'm getting is STRONG FEELS about bad parents based on denial of false memories even being a thing.

False memories sounds like a euphemism to me. Or a an act turned into a condition so we can medicate or find other monetizing elements while voiding responsibility. False memories, you mean someone who is deranged or psychopathic? Newspeak, bah.

this is exactly what I mean - it's obvious you didn't bother to read any of the information posted, but you're dismissing it as something it's not because it doesn't align with your emotions.

But do you agree that Big Floyd literally meets the definition of a criminal?

I didn't think anyone said it did, I know I've been consistent that he was a criminal piece of shit, but he shouldn't have been killed that way.
big difference, unless you're saying that criminality is an inherent trait and all criminals should be killed.

I never said that either.
I said he is a criminal, well was a criminal. And he is, as per the definition.
Regardless of that fact, he should not have been killed in the middle of the street like he was.

Yes, I am dismissing it. If something is important to you, you don't forget. You got a hot date at eight tonight? You don't forget. Try and call that girl up and explain about false memory syndrome, hehe... no pussy for you.
