I'm leaning towards towing an travel trailer and having a boat in the truck box or up top. Once kids are older and can come outdoors with is with their own stuff I'll do a camper and tow a bigger boat I think.
Anything smaller than a 14 can get kind if sketchy with even a little wind, just something to keep in mind.

yours is how long?
It's 17 feet long, 56 inches wide at the bottom. They make a 53 inch wide model but the extra stability is nice. Our old boat has a blind for duck season, we are going to grab a couple of marsh seats this year and hold off on the blind. With the areas we can get to with this boat we really don't need the boat to be a blind. Prior to this boat we had to hunt from the boat, now we have options.

We got way up into a creek, definitely haven't been any boats through here in awhile. We had to go through a large section where it's less than 6 inches deep, I stopped in the middle last time we came up here, video of that to come later.

It's going to take you to all the places for duck hunting. ALL OF THEM!
you say it has just over a foot of drag when full throttle? and less when you creep?
smooth handling it looked like
The pigs crossing was so cool, quite a scene. I see sign of them in the woods here but I haven't even seen one yet. Those ones you saw were great, those spotted ones were pretty meaty. Can you hunt those from boat or on that particular land?(private land?)

When youre up on plane you can go through less than 6 inches of water. Yea we can hunt those hogs where they were with bows legally, we have the proper permits, it's an Army Corps lake.

Last time SC MMA MD @SC MMA MD came up, he missed to opportunity to travel the Mt. Loop Scenic byway(Mt.Bake-Snoqualmie National Forest)which is phenomenal, due to a road washout.
It has a temporary fix and is open.
