some of the older ones were made of superior materials, parts, etc...
The bluing is a big thing on older guns vs newer ones. It's hard these days to find nice, deep bluing on modern guns. Unless you're ready to pay through the nose of course.
Of course that is true, I think worn looks good as long as it still shoots good.
I don't look at it's value much, just it's function.
