I'm waiting for a protest sign that simply reads "Give us free shit."
I just actually remembered I haven't paid the rent. Got an email about it telling me off. I should probably pay it

That push was bullshit.
However this meme seems full of fake news

Also, McCabe tries to back up the approaching man with only his baton and then tries to check on him afterwards. The other cop does the big push. It's clear McCabe didn't intend to do such harm to the man and neither likely meant for him to fall that way. Amd while they should be held accountable for it, "never let them live another day in peace" is such gross societal response.

From the side that always looks for corrections to be rehabilitation and not randomly punitive, this seems highly hypocritical. Also...the fake news portion of the meme in which I can find no evidence of the permanent brain damage.

I predict that Zeph @Zeph will completely ignore this post, and instead post other deliberately misleading memes and tweets.

Unions representing police officers and other public safety workers sued the city on July 15 to block Mayor Bill de Blasio from making good on a pledge to start posting misconduct complaints on a government website. The unions argue that allowing the public to see unproven or false complaints could sully officers’ reputations and compromise their safety.

Reading more about the Austin shooting:

Mr. Foster, wearing a black bandanna and a baseball cap, bumped into an independent journalist at the march on Saturday, and he spoke matter-of-factly about the weapon that was draped on a strap in front of him.

“They don’t let us march in the streets anymore, so I got to practice some of our rights,” Mr. Foster told the journalist, Hiram Gilberto Garcia, who was broadcasting the interview live on Periscope. “If I use it against the cops, I’m dead,” he conceded.

Later that night, Mr. Foster was fatally shot, but not by the police. The authorities said he was killed by a motorist who had a confrontation with protesters.

The police and witnesses said the man in the car turned it aggressively toward the marchers, and Mr. Foster then approached it. The driver opened fire, shooting Mr. Foster three times. He was rushed to a hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Austin’s police chief, Brian Manley, told reporters on Sunday that as the motorist turned, a crowd of protesters surrounded the vehicle, and some struck the car. The driver, whose name has not been released, then opened fire from inside the car as Mr. Foster approached. Another person in the crowd pulled out a handgun and shot at the vehicle as it sped away.

Minutes after the shooting, the driver called 911 and said he had been involved in a shooting and had driven away from the scene, Chief Manley said. The caller told dispatchers he had shot someone who had approached the driver’s window and pointed a rifle at him.

“His account is that Mr. Foster pointed the weapon directly at him and he fired his handgun at Mr. Foster,” the chief said of the driver.

Both the driver and the other person who fired a weapon were detained and interviewed by detectives. Both had state-issued handgun licenses and have been released as the investigation continues, Chief Manley said.
I really hate open carry.
Car guy is reported by many people as being aggressive towards the protesters. But then you get an increasing mob situation that is hard to deescalate. Bringing a rifle into that mix just adds more chaos and ups the ante.
Car guy is almost assuredly in the wrong given all the reports of him being a threat with his car, but without the guy open carrying I doubt the original gun shots would have occurred. When something is happening fast, its hard to tell if someone is just standing there with a rifle or a threat with that rifle. That's hard for cops and for others.
Also who the hell pulled their gun out and shot in a big crowd at a speeding away car?? Great way to kill another bystander.

Does a rifle at the low ready count as a threat if you're in a car with a crowd surrounding you?

Car guy sucks. And as always you're armed? You should be deescalating first.
But same goes for our open carry guy.
