I just order and roll the dice. A lot of the time there aren't any taxes applied, when there are it's like the standard 13%. Be somewhat leery of UPS they like to hit low value orders with big fees, but even that's hit and miss.

They seem to be the slowest, yet also most consistent. UPS offers some sort of service where they get it to the border and it become Canada Post after that. That seems to be the best but I think its only available to businesses.

Nice to see the blue sky and sun again eh... even if it was only a week of smoke.

Looks like it should be somewhat nice tomorrow but we get our ass kicked with rain all next week.

Give me 2 more weeks of no rain. Harvest is on schedule for the first week of October.

I think people are in for a shocker over the next month here with the covid shit. No one has any certanty with anything right now and it is draining on people.

According to our head doctor lady Ottawa is in its "second wave". Of course it'd be nice if they gave us some sort of benchmark, but that's been the story of this pandemic. Personally, I think it's fucking appalling that we still don't have anything that resembles adequate testing.

Gargle test for COVID-19 works for adults as well as children, researcher says

One of the researchers who helped develop B.C.'s new gargle test for COVID-19 says it works for adults as well as children.

While the standard test involves pushing a swab deep into a patient's nasal cavity – a process that can be uncomfortable, particularly for young children – the new method only requires people to gargle saline for about 30 seconds and then spit it into a tube.

And while the gargle test is currently only available for children and teenagers, Dr. David Goldfarb said the goal is to eventually allow everyone to use it.
