My wife says there's a battle blowing up on Mom Social Media between families and what they're doing for Halloween.

Lots of guilt trips, anger, fear, and shame. Thought we could use more of that in our forum.

We're working on doing something different, what are you doing?

obviously if you don't have kids, but plan on dressing your "fur babies" up in a pathetic attempt to be relevant, or if you plan puking on the tits of a fat chick in a slutty nurse costume before blacking out and waking up with her brother, your plans are welcome here as well.

Yes, yes, he will be 1 day shy of 1 on halloween
wow - you're one of the divisive ones. You'd get a lot of guilting and shaming from some of the Moms.

why do you feel the need to cart your little superspreader all over the neighborhood?

:)

FtR - I think it's fine, everyone should be allowed to freely associate and make their own decisions about risk and value.
I do think it's kind of funny when people start saying that their 2 yo was saying "trick or treat" and so they're obligated to take them or risk ruining the kid's childhood.

He's one so it will only be a few houses, I don't anticipate there being a lot of doorbell ringing, but lots of candy bowls.

Every year I try to convince the kids to hand out candy rather than go and get it, we let them do a couple blocks though and then return home to hand out candy. (No, not the candy theyve collected)

One of my wife's social media groups were arguing and she asked if any of them like this specific brand of protein bars and when they agreed she asked if they've been wiping each one individually. Then asked if it were any different than with the little chocolate bars.

Covid has just giving people another reason to argue.

Also fuck facebook

There will be a Post It note on the doorbell that reads: "Ring for King Size Chocolate Bars". On the table at the front door there will be a bucket that reads "Mystery Prize for those concerned about covid"

Those who ring the doorbell will be greeted by a masked occupant who will give them their king size chocolate bar on the end of a stick as to make sure it's all as safe as possible. The mystery bucket will be wired so that when something passes the rim a recording will call the kid a pussy and their fingers will be snapped by a mouse trap.

I have a sneaking suspicion we won't even be home on Halloween if you catch my drift.
I hear ya, disconnecting the door bell isn't for Halloween, Nam sayin?

We left during Halloween last time, I was dodging little kids trying to get to the hospital.....an hour away.
