tony might as well retire now. there will never be a big money fight in his future and he spent all his money on drugs with eddie bravo
Tony should retire based on the signs of CTE he's showing
He could always rematch that cable that put in the hospital.

No way he fights again IMO.
Actually now that i think about it, khabib mentioned conor vs dustin in the post fight interview and said he is not interested in either because he beat both of them, so what but GSP then?

If he was truly retiring 100%, I dont think he would have even given any fighter a mention

Maybe GSP will bring him back, it's the fight he always wanted. We shall see

it really wasn't
Khabib was outstruck 29-26. He was losing the first round until the late takedown, and went for his takedown in the second because he didn't want anymore of what Gatechi was giving out when they came off their stools. Khabib's record speaks for itself, he doesn't need people embellishing wins for him.

he should have finished gaethje in his last fight and he would have been in the main event tonight
So basically you’re ok with fighters strategically ducking, trying to get the other guy knocked off by delaying the match in hopes someone does it for you? Because that’s exactly what you’re promoting with this comment. No one had to win another one and another one and one more, next time we promise, for sure this time, etc than Tony. He got robbed of a legacy. Justin Gaethje beat him, sure, but I think we can all agree that’s the best Justin Gaethje that has EVER shown up to fight night in his career. Tony got stalled out of his legacy. He shouldn’t be penalized for losing the last minute save the card fight.

I don’t think one short notice fight takes away your aura after a streak like that. No one wrote Anderson Silva off just yet after his first loss to Weidman.
True but Silva's aura was definitely not the same leading up to the rematch with weidman, i think even he doubted himself leading up to the rematch, weidman dropped him badly before the leg check ending.

Silva was also taunting weidman carelessly before he got KOed, Tony straight up got his soul taken by justin. It wasn't a first round flash KO, it was a 5 round domination before the finish.

It’s not a meltdown, it’s the truth. You don’t like the truth. Khabib avoided Tony. You can say they avoided each other early on, but the last and most important one was on Khabib. Tony showed up to fight night. Khabib didn’t.

Has there ever been more combined class out of the main and co-main event fighters?
The main event fighter literally begged to be named the number 1 fighter in an imaginary ranking system.

And then did a little diva performance for the camera, took his ball and went home because something that already has or will happen to literally all of us happened.

khabib is a superstar . tony is just a ufc fighter you swing from the nuts of. khabib doesnt owe tony shit. tony needed to earn that title shot in his last fight and he failed to do so

So now we’re going to have fighters who pick their spots, not best fighting the best when they’re at their best huh? I like the sport how it is now where you don’t get to pick your matchups.
sounds like conors entire career

With Khabib out of the picture, the chances of a red panty night in the next year just increased exponentially

Nah Tony was a superstar who never got the push. Dana had disdain for the guy for whatever reason. They pick and choose who they push. They ignored Khabib for a long time too, till he beat Conor and they had to pass him the torch he deserved. Tony got robbed of his legacy by the promotion.
