My next thing I want is a fucking nice big hog...... So I can cook the shit out of it every way possible.
Ya me to. We don't have many around here. However we did have 5 running around last year and nobody was sure where they came from. Conservation gave everyone a shoot on sight order but I never got my chance. Someone else got all 5 at once. Haven't seen any since and kinda hope we don't. Would love to hunt one tho.

Let's do it man. I've never been hog hunting but like beer, shooting shit, and own an AR.
Dude my neighbors got a buddy on the OK border with a bunch of land with a hog problem. My other buddy from OK may meet us when we go. It'd be awesome if you came. A couple of Marines showing 2 soldiers how to shoot.

I'm serious. That sound prime. Go culling. If we can eat great. If fat and gross, no harm still helped the nuisance. Could spend a weekend wrecking shit.

November is out but December is a maybe.

I just remembered the story from that pic. Pretty fucked up but cool looking. I think they said it's probably from some chemical it was eating. It was somewhere in Cali.
They said most likely rodent poison.

Duck in Orange Sauce | The MMA Community Forum :)

Duck is possibly my favourite meat. You can simply stick it in the rotisserie, you can roast it and serve with plum sauce, you can do a number of Chinese style recipes (Peking duck, crispy aromatic etc). Even the fat is great for use on beef joints or roast potatoes
Sweet, hopefully I slaughter all the ducks! My thanksgiving hinges on it!

You probably know better than me but there isn't much meat on a wild duck. My brother killed a goose (with a stick LOL) and we ate it. It was about the same size as a commercially farmed duck from the supermarket. You'll want to bag a few ducks if you're making a meal

Never been duck hunting before. This will be a first. I'm a decent shot and shoot skeet well with a turkey choke so I'm hoping for at least 1 or 2. I really want to make turducken for Thanksgiving. And I want to learn to cook duck, it's delicious.

Only ended up having to pay for my duck stamp and safety test.

Went out this morning. Was youth only today so my neighbor and I went out without guns and his son brought his shot gun. We worked the dog and I got to experience the process so hopefully next week will be successful. Apparently my camo was on point, a hawk landed about 10 yards from us. His son clipped the tail feather of the only ducks he had a shot on, 2nd shot he missed because he was excited and 3rd shot he didn't get off because it didn't load the 3rd round...... He forgot to oil it.
But the spot is a nice spot, we scouted out a couple other potential spots in the area. Hopefully the Temps start to drop up north and we have more activity. But over all, can't wait. I'm gonna shoot the shit out of some ducks, can't wait to eat them.

hunting is an exercise in patience.there is a lot more waiting involved than actual killing.it is a good time to learn and bond.

Yea in really enjoyed going out to see the process, how the dog behaves, the whole process, should make next week easier and hopefully the Temps start to drop so we get the migratory ones as well as the locals.

Picked up this bad boy today. Score! Was considering the biltong box but I've stuck it in the rotisserie.
