The 72 hour rule was new in the last few weeks. Not sure how it effects mandatory quarantines. There's no reason for someone who works in tech to be coming back and forth across the border so I'm not quite sure what justification there is for him being up here anyways. But if were that loose with the regs it explains why we can't keep covid contained.
You can come and go freely, but you're required to quarantine when returning.

People in Ottawa are under a stay at home order and you claim to know someone coming and going frequently who is not being bound by the same rules that Canadian citizens are, a person who also has no reason to be here. When it's pointed out to you that your friend doesn't need to be here, you get mad instead of explaining why what they're doing can't possibly be sent here through any method other than hand delivery.

The plan in Canada is to let it burn itself out. They tell us it isn't but then don't get us vaccines, or some up with any coherent mitigation plans. If we had as many fat, out of shape people stacked on top of each other as America does half of Canada would be dead by now.
