The bowler (think 'pitcher') was well past his prime here, but in his prime was one of the fastest bowlers of all time. As in top 3 ever. He could bowl at just under 100 mph.

The fastest bowl in cricket is 100 mph, whereas in baseball the fastest pitch is 105 - so the overarm action takes only a little bit of heat off the bowl. And it's bouncing off a variable surface which makes it incredibly difficult to judge.

One of Australia's best batsmen was killed a few years ago by a bowler much slower than Lee, so it is ridiculous that a fat amateur would try to face up to him. He could seriously hurt pros, let alone retards like Piers.

So what Piers was doing here shows that he is a genuine delusional moron.
