I made almost 18x my money on the last bull run. Cashed out and held most. A few months ago I got tempted to get back into things and logged into coinbase just to see what coins they had. I had 3000+ dollars sitting there from the Bitcoin cash fork (free money derp).
Then last night I realized I still had converted some shit coins into cash (about 5000) over at livecoin.net.. They were easy to sign up but hard to withdrawal without transferring out to another site with easier USD conversion. I decided I needed to move that into eth, get it to coinbase, and cash out.
Well here's what happened a few months ago:
Russian cryptocurrency exchange Livecoin has ceased operations, following an alleged hack suffered in December 2020. The permanent closure comes after the exchange abruptly shut down in the wake of the attack in late December, leaving many of its users out of pocket.Jan 20, 2021
No they didn't send emails to alert or that they would cash out accounts until March 2021.
That's right. I pissed away 5000 because I had made so much on the run that it just became like chips from the casino. Totally dumb of me. Who would have guessed the Russian coin exchange that didn't require ID to sign up would eventually be a problem? lol.
Me today:
Sooooo set goals, don't ride out just to be part of it. Set an exit and feel good just like any stock. Went up more? Whatever, you still made bank.

I know very little about crypto - other than DOGE looks like a broken slot machine right now.
Also - It's hard to set an exit price when you don't understand any of it. ?

Pick a multiplier that would feel like hitting the lottery. Five times or 10 times your money and stick to it. I left a lot of coins at 5x That later went to 10x. However nearly everything that goes up that fast goes down just as fast. And because the market never ends it might happen while you're asleep. I didn't make the 10x but I also didn't ride out the crash.
