Jeremy Stephens fights are so hard to pick. Sometimes he looks so flat, but he's got that huge KO power. I think the ground games will cancel each other out and this will be a stand up war.

Hopefully he gets popped and suspended into retirement. His fights are dog shit far more often than not.

Yeah it’s all about the nostalgia now, which isn’t cutting it. He is 30-20. That would have been a nice round record to go out on.

It must be disheartening fighting in the main event after your main sparring partner can't even make it 20 seconds.

Apparently it is can vary but is determined in advance:
“Commissions can also sanction fights in combined weights (catchweight). There is no limit to these combined weights, which are analysed according to each situation. Entities also need to disclose to the promoters which is the largest tolerable weight difference between two opponents for each weight category.”

Seems like there should be some more clearly defined rules. Or honestly, a whole reform of the weight cutting process. The percentage fine doesn't seem to be as much of a deterrent as they expect it to be. At least not for all. 7 lbs on a catch weight fight is crazy to me, she should be forking over more than 20% if her opponent still takes the fight. And it creates a weird position for the fighter that made weight. If they don't accept the fight, they lose the opportunity to earn money even though they did everything correct.
