Too much material and no buyers to take it in
Core issue is the input then.
We've maxed out the output. So they only fix is to reduce the input.

Reduce reuse recycle starts with reduce. But everybody forgets about this first part.

Further our recycling standards and communication sound like they suffer from all the same problems as every other state based, yet national issue, And I failure of interstate standards and communication standards to reduce friction in the marketplace and move product where it's wanted.

Nothing is ever going to change until there's a crackdown on manufacturers of waste. Single use plastic, packaging, containers etc... cheap shit that breaks, you know planned obsolescence has been a thing since the 50s?

Recycling has been a scam since day one. I way to horde more profits from oil, meanwhile pushing the burden of waste on the consumer.

While China remains the world’s largest producer of plastic, the researchers find that in 2016 the U.S. was the world’s number one source of plastic waste, losing some 42 million metric tons into the global environment, reports Laura Parker for National Geographic That’s nearly twice the tally of the next country on the list, India, which produced 26.3 metric tons of plastic waste that year. Americans also used more plastic per capita in 2016 than residents of any other country on the planet at roughly 286 pounds per person, per the study.

I like the part where the people who's living is made by perpetuating recycling, explain how recycling is an utter waste of time.

Soda tastes like shit out of a plastic bottle. It does something to the flavor.
