How’s that trolling? You have several conservatives on here from all different walks of life and ethnic background, and you say we’re all the same and think the same. That’s not trolling (unless it’s on your behalf) that’s what you just did.

i like tim dillon as a human, but for me, he spends too much time regurgitating flawed right wing talking points

he talks about some good stuff too, so hes not all nonsense

but hes at his best when he is just being tim cause hes sharp and witty as fuck. some of his adlib comments are hilarious

A detention memo alleges:


In fewer than 20 minutes, between approximately 1:56 p.m. and 2:12 p.m., the core group of the five charged defendants (as well as several others who are not charged) participated in at least four bouts of assaultive conduct against U.S. Capitol Police (“USCP”) and/or Metropolitan Police Department (“MPD”) officers who were protecting the west side of the Capitol building. Throughout the course of the day, several members of the group were wearing military-style ballistic vests, some of which displayed matching patches.

At approximately 1:56 p.m., Perkins’s co-defendant, Jonathan Pollock, and another individual, Associate-2, each charged towards a line of police officers stationed along a set of steps at the west side of the Capitol where low metal fences separated the crowd and the police officers. Jonathan Pollock and Associate-2 each brandished a flagpole pointed at the line of officers. Officers wrestled the flagpoles away from Jonathan Pollock and Associate-2, causing Jonathan Pollock to fall backwards into the crowd. After Hutchinson helped Jonathan Pollock to his feet, Jonathan Pollock charged at the metal fence, throwing his shoulder into it and pushing it forward, while shouting “Let’s Go!”

Notably, the court papers explain that “Associate-2” and another unnamed person — presumably both cooperating witnesses — “have not been charged in connection with this investigation.”


“By about 4:20 p.m., Jonathan Pollock and Doolin were positioned close to the entrance to the passageway that connects the lower west terrace to the interior of the Capitol building,” the DOJ press release alleges. “Another rioter passed a riot shield back to Jonathan Pollock, and he positioned himself at the entrance to the tunnel. For several minutes starting at approximately 4:32 p. m., while others were throwing things at officers, Jonathan Pollock slammed and pushed a riot shield into the line of officers, pinning the officers’ shields and preventing them from defending themselves against the attack. Jonathan Pollock remained positioned with the riot shield at the entrance of the tunnel, blocking officers from advancing out of the tunnel, until at least 4:46 p.m.”


According to the case’s docket, the government is seeking pre-trial detention for Perkins based on the strength of visual evidence that allegedly shows him taking part in at least two assaults.


“[T]he defendant was observed on police body worn cameras participating in the attack of law enforcement officers,” a court memo alleges. “The defendant was also captured in other photographs and video footage throughout the day on January 6, 2021, where his face is clearly visible and the clothes he is wearing in the body work camera footage described above clearly identifiable.”


Additionally, the government argues that Perkins in particular poses an extreme risk of flight and a danger to the community.


“The charged offenses involve assaultive conduct aimed to stop the functioning of the United States government, specifically to derail the certification of the electoral process, a cornerstone of our democracy,” the detention memo goes on. “The danger the defendant caused by assisting the violent mob cannot be understated. The defendant was a spoke in the wheel that caused the historic events of January 6, 2021, and he is thus a danger to our society and a threat to the peaceful functioning of our community.”

i wasnt sold on your "hes doing it for laughs" bit until now

on rogan, he always seemed to actually believe what he was saying (and i still think that may be the case for the issues hes discussed on there)

but ive listened to his july 4th podcast which was just funny and two others with progressive guests (glen greenwald and abby martin)

tims beliefs are different than i thought based off rogan podcasts

He comes off as pretty moderate overall but instead of looking at moderate points of view he only looks at extreme ends of the spectrum to point out the absurdity. Ie, He's gay so he's thinking about becoming a fat activist so that attractive people will have to fuck him.
