to be fair, stelter maid a mosaic argument. and some of the pieces are pretty accurate. tucker also said that the FBI organized the attack on the capital, which is very different from the FBI having informants inside groups that planned the attack on the capital

imo it is. the insurrection happened bc trump is a psycho. and he held a rally to get people to break into the capital and stop pence from singing off on joe biden winning
although the FBI and CIA have intentionally caused bad shit in the past, blaming this on them (as tucker is doing) is merely a way of distracting from what trump did
If the FBI has informants involved in the planning and the FBI doesnt do anything to thwart the attack they know is coming. That becomes the FBI's fault.
I've made it very clear that I dont have a lot of time for Tucker Carlson but if he's right, he's right.

whereas the necessary narrative should be: "wait a sec. if FBI were in these groups, then they knew about the plans. did they inform the president? if not, why not? if so, why didnt he prepare?"
Completely. They definitely aren't the same, but they also aren't very different. In either case the plot is that the FBI knew ahead of time and did nothing about it.
Now where it gets really concerning is that the FBI and other members of the security state are now using this event as leverage to further expand their grasp.
i agree and disagree. tucker is assuming they did nothing about it. but its possible that they escalated and the president vetoed their escalation
i do worry about them using it as an excuse to extend the surveilance state (as biden just did with some stuff recently if im not mistaken)
but we cant really use that as an excuse to not investigate or else that implies that its too risky to investigate anything
