Gane is long as shit. He only had to take two quick steps back and he was across the octagon. Lewis chased a few times but looked like he got discouraged.
Didn't help that Gane was kicking his leg off either.

Bro the reach was 2” difference, the height was 1” difference. Long as sh1t? ? He isn’t longer than Volkov. Derrick Lewis was backing up all fight, he never came forward.
Don't get lost in the stats. I'm talking about his athletic ability to get in and out at will.

could lewis beat kharitonov or mitrione to get a shot at the bellator title?
Kharitonov would demolish Lewis.
Mitrione would probably lose by complaining about an eye poke, mouthpiece falling out, and groin shot from the previous round while a right hand is coming down the pipe.

I'm not a big fan of Gane. He reminds me too much of an MMA Lennox Lewis, but I can't stand when people post shit like Derrick didn't show up or wasn't trying to win. He didn't have the opportunity to do dick. He was out-techniqued at every turn.

Just because a fighter isn't able to do something, doesn't mean he isn't looking for it or trying. It can often mean it is being taken away from him by a superior fighter. This happens a lot against wrestlers when they face a fighter who can control distance and has great footwork. It often seems like the wrestler never went for a takendown. He never did because there was never even an opportunity for an attempt.

Not everyone is Alexander Volkov walking straight into punches with his hands down even though he has the fight won...

Did you see the drill he was working on UFC Countdown where he was bouncing in and out as his coach swung a tethered ball? You could see in the fight that movement is second nature.

Gane is bad for the sport. I'd really like to see him fight Jones.
That would be cool
He could gain favor by dusting Jon
Doubt it ever happens or that Jon ever fights a top HW

I think we can tell by now that Jones absence most likely has more to do with USADA than "giving up his belt" and "moving up to HW"...that narrative looks more ridiculous by the day
