Good gravy, this turned into a debacleicious PR nightmare. Trump must be loving it. Biden is bathing in this shit soup.
Trump’s problem (well, one of a thousand) is his ego is too big not to try to make this all about him. Instead of applying humility and some basic conservative principles to ingratiate himself to regretful Biden voters, he will continue to tout election fraud claims and turn-off everyone who he had a chance of winning over. The Afghanistan debacle will play a big role in the mid-terms, but people have a short memory so this likely won’t be the biggest issue voters care about in ‘24.

I just can’t see a scenario where he stays in office for the full term. Whether it’s a health crisis, cognitive decline, the 25th amendment, or the DNC getting him to step-down, without the media giving him a pass any longer, I think the odds are against him serving all four years.

the May deadline was based on the Taliban meeting conditions...IIRC the same conditions that Cheney legislated when Trump tried to leave the first time. I don't think the conditions were met when Biden announced the 9-11 hard stop of support.

I don't disagree, and I partly think that was the plan all along.

Australia got its first female national leader not through a democratic election but through sneaky fukery toppling their male leader from within.
I wonder if the US will follow suit? Pin all the blame on Biden and then Kamala steps up pretending either she knew nothing about Biden going to withdraw or that she fiercly argued over him about it but his toxic masculinity wouldnt listen to her pleas.

Different political systems, mate. We have 'coups' here all the time because the parties decide who is PM, not the public. The female PM you are referring to ended up getting reverse couped by the guy she couped. That's how we roll.

You have to impeach or kill Biden. Not as simple to remove him.
