I still expect him to be in it, but maybe they don't wanna introduce too much stuff too early.

You have a point about him, but she still could not be sure of it and took a great risk - but for what? Wasnt really necessary.
yeh i totally hear ya

i suspend disbelief pretty easily tho for the sake of spectacal

that moment of moiraine walking around the bend to confront him was gnarly :))

Did ya know originally it was supposed to be a 6-book series?

Due to the success of the first one Jordan was told to expand it as much as he wants tho.
The first books are more concise, then it gets broader.
A lot of stuff can be cut.

The German book series consist of 37 books btw!!

Good series so far. If I ever finish reading the LOTR trilogy, I'm finna start this series.

I would just listen to the LOTR audiobooks but I'm not a fucking retard.

A little overboard yeah.
But good scenes throughout the episode.
did you catch what Stepin did to Lan?

Lan was worried about his friend, so he planned on staying with him through the night so as to prevent what happened from happening.

But earlier, Stepin had gotten sleeping herbs from Nynaeve. And Stepin slipped them into Lan's drink.

So Lan not only mourns the loss of his friend, Lan also blames himself for it.

Lan now carries a burden relatively similar to that which Perrin carries.

I got that, but it ain't his fault really.

Very sad yes, and to a point I really liked the scene, but the shouting and throwing himself onto the corpse as if he fainted just seemed a little much for a manly men like Lan.

Still watching ya recaps, keep it up!
you;'re too kind. its funny, there are chabnnels of fans/non fans that do reaction videos and get more views. i dont get the appeal of seeing someone elses reaction. but to each their own

my goal with those is basically recap, highlighting things people may have missed when possible. and also adding in some extra color without getting too spoilery

unlike all those reaction channels that will only be producing content for another few weeks, im a hardcore fan, and cant wait to get more into full book spoiler type videos in the offseason. hopefully, ill have a decent wheel of time subscriber base for future seasons and then make some bank

I did miss padan fain lurking gotta admit. So you definitely succeeded there!

Also never watched any reaction vids. Sounds like something for psychopaths who try to find out what they should be feeling.

thats the primary reason why it doesnt appeal to me. i could care less what anyone else thinks about something, so im not interested in reviews

but to be fair, some peoples reactions are enteraining. so the show/movie isnt really the content per se, its the reactors that are the content

and there are also hardcore fans who like hearing how non-book readers are taking in the show. and who they predict as the dragon reborn for instance

but its totally not my cup of tea. before a season 3, i sometimes watch season 2 recaps. i find those useful. so i try to make efficient recaps. and when i was new to Game of Thrones, i used to watch history and lore breakdowns. so i found that useful, and thus, make history and lore type shit for other stories

but basically, if i see someone making a face on a thumbnail, or if i see a person on camera in a video, i know immediately its not the type of content im looking to consume

in terms of padan fain, i found that one the first watch through. but thats the type of insight i pride myself on in my content

take the new money heist for instance. i didnt watch the top "ending explained" video. but it has about 100k views and mine has 1k so far. to be fair, i didnt even work on it the day it came out since i was busy until 10pm still working on The Wheel of Time from the day before. and i half asses my saturday because i was burnt out. so i was two days behind

but even under normal circumstances, im a day later than others because instead of watching sometjhing once and churning out a recap/ending as quickly as possible, i always

- watch
- write rought draft
- rewatch to pick up details i missed
- amend final draft
- record audio
- watch the entire episode or episodes a third time while producing the video

so i go way overboard compared to most. yet they get out first and win in terms of views and money lol.

Good code, haven't watched money heist yet.

I also don't click any dumb face, arrow & circle stuff vids.
And I'm not quite sure why so many top10 or topxx videos seem to be so popular. Must be psychological.

You could prolly do a "top 5 whatever" vid and break your viewer record.

i used the circle and arrow at times when its appropriate to tell a story in a thumbnail

but i hear ya. there are channels that do it on every video on principle, and the circle and the arrow are either major spoilers (which is not cool) or more often just clickbaity

and in terms of top yadda yadda lists, yeah they work. people are generally more attracted to lists as opposed to singular hypotheses probably since a list implies a series of easily digestible information

then theres the algorithim impact of a list... the most important thing for a videos performance in a given topic is if someone watches it to the end and lets another video play (and im not asking you to do that for me bc one person doesnt make a difference)

youtube is in the ad revenue game. so the alogorithin prefers videos that keep people from closing out youtube

when you do a video on a singular topic, only those vested in the leadup to the hypothesis stick through to the end. whereas when you do a list, people may not like the video but then they hear #3 and think ok maybe 3 is good. then 4 and so on.

plus there a fear of missing out psychology. once they hear items 1 and 2, they have to hear 3.

so basically, list videos are good at keeping people watching until the end for various reasons
