I got real close to purchasing 50 acres of the finest land in God's country, Texas. Was ready to pay the exorbitant land prices. But then found out building will be three times as much as it would have been just a few years ago. Soooo nah. I can wait. This is dumb.

They are currently blaming trucking. When I reminded them my shit comes in via rail, they said the railcars were delayed too.
Market has pretty much been a rollercoaster since 2017. Get a quote, then call back to order 5 minutes later and they raise it $50/m on ya. Crazy.

Someone on this forum has been broadcasting these issues for 2+ years and how it would eventually clobber the pocketbook of the end user.
Lots of projects getting delayed. It's insane to build at these levels.
